LUBERON
Luberon Massif and Luberon Natural Park :
The Luberon (or Lubéron) is the name given to the mountain massif that stretches from east to west between the departments of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Vaucluse. This massif is made up of three “mountains” : the Luberon Oriental, the Grand Luberon and the Petit Luberon. Since 1977 this mountain has been the heart of the Luberon Regional Natural Park (69 districts) and attracts a large number of tourists with natural and cultural interests. There are several festivals put on in the region each year. In 1997 the Luberon was officially declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. The Luberon has also become an emblematic place for Provence with its numerous residences belonging to French stars and those from elsewhere who have fallen in love with the beautiful stone landscapes. They all find a pristine, magnificent countryside, incomparable colours and an exceptional quality of life.

PROVENCE
Provence is internationally known. Its name brings to mind blue skies, the chant of the cicadas, local products, lavender, olive trees, markets, Cézanne, and Pagnol. Provence is all of these but it is also a region enjoyable to lie in all year long with beautiful landscapes throughout the seasons. It is easy to reach via the motorway A7 and high-speed TGV trains (with stations in Avignon et Aix en Provence) making it just 2 hours 40 minutes from Paris. The international airport Marseille Provence connects you to several European countries. The fast-growing Avignon airport offers low cost flights to the United Kingdom. The airports of Nîmes and Nice (international) give you access to several other destinations.

The northern part of town is centred on agriculture where you’ll find beautiful farm buildings. Les Vignères is a major hamlet in the Cavaillon district as you travel towards L’Isle sur Sorgue.
